Young Leaders United

Young Leaders United (YLU) is comprised of emerging leaders under the age of 40 who actively engage in philanthropy, volunteerism and networking in Silicon Valley.  YLU is designed to identify the next generation of community and business leaders, to introduce them to influential philanthropists and corporate executives and to prepare them for their role in serving our community.

A personal contribution of $500.00 through United Way’s Annual Campaign invested in the Community Action Fund* is the only requirement for membership.

• Leadership Development: CEO Speaker Series, Special topic Forums and Leadership Symposium designed to provide skills for professional and personal development.
• Active Volunteerism: Opportunities to volunteer for projects that improve and strengthen our communities.

To benefit the students at Cesar Chavez Elementary School, East San Jose

Sports Equipment Drive: To benefit the students at Cesar Chavez Elementary School, East San Jose
Sports and outdoor play is an important part of a student’s daily school life. United Way Silicon Valley’s Young Leaders UNITED is organizing an on-line sports equipment drive to benefit the students at Cesar Chavez Elementary School, located in the Alum Rock Union School District in East San Jose. Cesar Chavez Elementary school has very limited sports equipment for the students to use.  The equipment it does have is very old and in bad shape.  Join us by purchasing items from their wish-list on amazon.com. All items will be sent to United Way Silicon Valley and will be delivered to the school on Friday, May 18th.
