Non profit Effectiveness Fund
The Fund is intended to help organizations learn more about gaining organizational efficiencies and support nonprofit strategic re-structuring or merger. The Silicon Valley Nonprofit Effectiveness Fund has been made possible thanks to the generosity of The David and Lucile Packard Foundation and the Applied Materials Foundation.
United Way Silicon Valley is hosting a series of workshops in fall 2009 and spring 2010. Topics to be covered in the workshops will range from the basics of nonprofit partnerships to assessing an organization’s readiness for a merger.
Update
The Nonprofit Effectiveness Fund is closed and will not be accepting new applications until further notice. Please check back regularly for updates about the fund. If you have any questions about the fund contact Toni Ensunsa, 408-345-4382.
A component of the Fund is to provide individualized grants to support nonprofit organizations for activities that would help organizations rethink and regroup in response to the downturn in the economy. Your organization may be interested in seeking a grant to support restructuring that can leverage an organization's social capital for mission impact.
