9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance

The National Day of Service & Remembrance is observed on 9/11 each year. Last year more than 30 million people volunteered or found other ways to connect with their communities and loved ones on 9/11.  There are a myriad of ways to get involved (see examples and links below).

Truth be told, on September 11, 2012 most of us will be at work, in school or meeting other commitments. No matter.  Even if you can’t volunteer, you can catch and spread the spirit of volunteering.
Regardless of where you are and what you are doing on 9/11, I hope you’ll catch the spirit of volunteering and share it through a simple good deed. Share this blog and encourage others to join our volunteer movement in whatever form makes sense for them.

Become a Reading Mentor Today!

You can make a difference in as little as 1 hour a week by working with children in Kindergarten and 1st grade in East San Jose.  Reading mentors show children that reading is a very important skill to be successful in life.
 
 


Tax Preparation Volunteers Needed

You can help working families increase their Income Tax Credits (EITC) as well as other tax credits by becoming tax preparation volunteer. We connect people to free tax preparation sites.
